FAQ
Beautiful Skin & Skin Whitening Frequently Asked Questions
What are your goals for skin rejuvenation and skin-whitening treatments?
Our skin rejuvenation and brightening treatments aim to achieve a radiant, translucent complexion by addressing issues such as dullness, uneven skin tone, and dryness across the entire face. At YAYOI CLINIC, we offer laser treatments for dark spots, as well as IPL (intense pulsed light) therapy, chemical peels, and IV therapy. We take a holistic approach, considering both your specific concerns and the overall condition of your skin when determining the best treatment plan.
Why does my skin look dull?
Causes of dull-looking skin include dark spots, freckles, a buildup of dead skin cells, dryness, and poor blood circulation. For example, dryness can disrupt the skin’s texture, and the fine unevenness on the surface can cast shadows, giving the skin a dull appearance. Since there isn’t always just one cause, it’s important to choose a skincare routine that suits your skin’s condition.
How do you choose skin rejuvenation and skin-whitening treatments at YAYOI CLINIC?
At YAYOI CLINIC, we select skin rejuvenation and brightening treatments based on the causes of dullness, your skin condition, and your specific goals. In addition to external treatments—such as laser and IPL for dark spots and chemical peels for dead skin cells—we also offer internal approaches, such as the “Shiratama” IV drip. We recommend at-home skincare routines as needed and develop a treatment plan that addresses multiple concerns.
If I'm concerned about dark spots or freckles, what kinds of skin-lightening treatments are available?
If you’re concerned about dark spots or freckles, we’ll consider laser or IPL (intense pulsed light) treatments depending on your condition. At YAYOI CLINIC, we offer treatments such as using a Q-switched ruby laser to precisely target prominent dark spots, or using the Cerec V to address overall skin discoloration. Before the procedure, we examine the type of dark spots and your skin condition to determine the most appropriate treatment.
Can exfoliation help with dullness caused by dead skin cells?
If dead skin cells have built up and your skin feels rough, chemical peels are a treatment option. These treatments use chemicals to soften excess dead skin cells on the skin’s surface, addressing the buildup of dead skin cells that causes dullness. At YAYOI CLINIC, we offer a variety of chemical peels and select the appropriate one based on your skin type and concerns. Please let us know during your consultation if you are concerned about skin irritation.
What kinds of skin treatments are available for dullness caused by dryness?
If your skin appears dull due to dryness, we recommend considering a treatment focused on hydration. YAYOI CLINIC’s Mesona J is a procedure that uses electrical current to deliver beauty-enhancing ingredients into the skin. Since the formulation is tailored to your specific skin concerns, we determine the appropriate treatment based on your current skin condition.
Is there any downtime associated with skin rejuvenation and skin-whitening treatments?
The downtime for skin rejuvenation and skin-whitening treatments varies depending on the procedure you choose. At YAYOI CLINIC, Mesona J involves virtually no downtime, whereas Cerec V may cause redness or pigmentation. If you have work or social plans, please discuss them with your doctor during your consultation, including how you’ll manage your recovery after the treatment.
Can I combine skin rejuvenation and skin-whitening treatments with my at-home skincare routine?
At YAYOI CLINIC, in addition to in-clinic treatments for beautiful skin and skin brightening, we recommend oral medications, doctor-formulated skincare products, and supplements. The products you use at home will vary depending on your skin type and the causes of dullness or dryness. During a skincare consultation, we can help you determine the most suitable care routine, taking into account the products you already use.
Where should I start with skincare and brightening treatments in my 40s?
When it comes to skin care and brightening for women in their 40s, start by assessing not only dark spots but also the buildup of dead skin cells and dryness. From your 40s onward, due to factors such as disrupted skin renewal cycles, it may take longer to restore your skin’s health. Depending on your current skin condition, consider treatments such as dark spot correction, chemical peels, and moisturizing care.
Are there any treatments that use B vitamins to promote healthy skin?
As a treatment containing B vitamins, YAYOI CLINIC offers the YAYOI Cocktail IV. This IV treatment combines B vitamins, vitamin C, and other ingredients, and is recommended for those concerned about dullness or rough skin. However, B vitamins alone may not necessarily resolve skin concerns, and eligibility for this treatment is determined during a consultation.
