FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions About CEREC V
What kind of procedure is CEREC V used for?
Cerec V is an IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatment that addresses a wide range of skin concerns, including dark spots, freckles, dullness, redness, enlarged pores, acne, and skin firmness and texture. Different filters with varying wavelengths are selected based on the specific skin concern.
Is Cerec V effective against age spots and freckles?
CEREC V uses light that reacts with melanin to address pigmentation concerns such as dark spots and freckles. Since the appropriate treatment varies depending on the type of pigmentation and skin condition, a consultation is required to determine the best course of action.
Can Cerec V be used to treat a flushed face?
Yes. CEREC V uses wavelengths that are easily absorbed by hemoglobin to address skin concerns such as facial redness. Since the appropriate wavelength varies depending on the cause of the redness and the condition of the skin, a doctor will assess the condition and determine the treatment method.
Does CEREC V hurt?
With CEREC V, you may feel a slight tingling sensation—similar to a "pop"—during the light exposure. The CEREC V system at YAYOI CLINIC features a cooling function that cools the skin's surface during exposure, helping to minimize discomfort.
Is there any downtime with CEREC V?
Depending on your skin condition, redness or other reactions may occur after the treatment.
How many sessions of CEREC V does it take to notice the results?
For CEREC V, we generally recommend 3 to 10 sessions, spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart. However, since the number of sessions required varies depending on your skin concerns and the specific treatment, we will develop a treatment plan after assessing your skin condition.
Can the Cerec V at YAYOI CLINIC use different filters depending on skin concerns?
Yes. The Cerec V at YAYOI CLINIC is equipped with nine different filters, each with a distinct wavelength. We select the appropriate filter based on your specific skin concerns—such as dark spots, freckles, redness, or enlarged pores—to deliver treatment tailored to your individual skin condition. For more details, please visit the “Cerec V” treatment page.
Is the CEREC V at YAYOI CLINIC designed to be gentle on the skin?
Yes. The Cerec V is equipped with ATC™ (Automatic Temperature Controller), which monitors the surface temperature of the skin in real time. The system is designed to prevent irradiation if the temperature exceeds the set limit, allowing treatments to be performed while minimizing the risk of burns.
Can I apply makeup right after a CEREC V procedure?
Depending on your skin condition, you can apply makeup the same day as your CEREC V treatment. After the procedure, avoid rubbing your skin too hard, and be sure to moisturize and protect your skin from UV rays.
Can Cerec V be used for pores and skin firmness?
Yes. Cerec V is sometimes used to address not only dark spots and redness but also enlarged pores, skin firmness, and skin texture. Even if you have multiple skin concerns, we’ll assess your skin condition and recommend the appropriate filters and treatment methods.
