FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions About Contouring
What kind of changes can I expect from facial contouring?
Facial contouring can help define a sagging jawline, add volume to sunken areas on the cheeks and temples, and improve the overall balance of the face.
We will determine the appropriate treatment method based on your specific concerns, such as fat distribution, lack of volume, or sagging.
Can facial contouring improve a sagging jawline?
Yes. If your jawline appears saggy due to fat in areas such as the cheeks or under the chin, you can reduce the fat through procedures like liposuction to achieve a more defined contour.
If there is also sagging, we may combine treatments such as thread lifts or Botox.
Can facial contouring make my face look smaller?
Depending on the amount of fat in your face and the balance of your facial contours, you can achieve a more defined look by contouring your jawline through procedures such as liposuction.
We determine the most appropriate treatment after assessing factors such as fat distribution, sagging, and bone structure.
Can you correct sunken cheeks and hollow temples?
Yes. For areas lacking volume, such as the cheeks and temples, fat grafting using the Condensed Rich Face technique can restore a natural, rounded contour.
Fat can also be injected into areas such as the forehead to improve the overall balance of the face.
What is the difference between fat grafting and hyaluronic acid injections?
Fat grafting is a method of adding volume using one’s own fat, while hyaluronic acid injections are a method of shaping the area by injecting hyaluronic acid solutions.
Fat grafting requires harvesting fat from areas such as the thighs or buttocks, but the fat that takes hold tends to last a long time. On the other hand, hyaluronic acid is absorbed by the body over time, so regular treatments are necessary to maintain the results.
How long does it take for fat injected into the face to settle?
It generally takes about 3 months for the injected fat to stabilize.
Not all of the injected fat will take root, and the success rate varies from person to person.
How long is the downtime for facial fat injections?
Swelling typically peaks about 24 to 72 hours after surgery and gradually subsides; any bruising usually clears up within about 1 to 2 weeks.
The area where fat was harvested may experience pain that lasts longer than in the face.
After facial contouring, when can I start wearing makeup and taking showers?
You may shower on the day of your treatment and apply makeup starting the day after your treatment.
As this may vary depending on the type of procedure and your post-operative condition, please follow the post-operative instructions for details.
How long does a facial contouring procedure take?
The duration of the treatment varies depending on the type of treatment you receive.
As a general guideline, Total Face Suction takes about 30 minutes, and Condensed Rich Fat takes about 60 minutes.
What are the side effects and risks associated with facial contouring?
After the procedure, you may experience swelling, pain, bruising, edema, unevenness, hematomas, or infection.
Since the symptoms that may occur vary depending on the treatment method, we will explain them in detail during your consultation.
