FAQ
Hydro Frequently Asked Questions
What are the effects of hydro?
Hydro is expected to enhance skin moisture, firmness, and radiance, and to help improve wrinkles and sagging skin.
Three types of non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid work on skin cells to support collagen production and skin regeneration.
Who is Hydro best suited for?
Hydro is ideal for those concerned about dry skin, loss of firmness, wrinkles, and sagging skin.
This treatment is a good option not only for those concerned about wrinkles on their face, but also for those concerned about wrinkles on their neck or loss of firmness around the eyes.
Where can Hydro be injected?
Hydro can be injected into the entire face and neck.
Targeted injections into specific areas—such as the cheeks, forehead, under the eyes, and temples—are also possible, and at YAYOI CLINIC, we determine the injection sites based on your concerns and skin condition.
How often should I get a hydro treatment?
At YAYOI CLINIC, we generally recommend receiving treatment about 3 to 4 times every two weeks.
The appropriate number of treatments and the recommended intervals vary depending on the condition of your skin, so we will determine this after an examination.
I'd like to know about the downtime and side effects of Hydro.
After a hydro treatment, you may experience swelling, redness, bruising, pain, itching, or a sensation of heat at the injection site.
Swelling typically subsides on its own within a few hours to about 3 days, while bruising generally subsides within 1 to 2 days, and bruising usually subsides within about 7 days.
Does hydrotherapy hurt?
Hydro treatments may cause some pain during the injection.
Since pain tolerance varies from person to person, if you have any concerns, please consult YAYOI CLINIC in advance.
What ingredients are in Hydro?
Hydro contains three types of non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid: high-molecular-weight, medium-molecular-weight, and low-molecular-weight.
High-molecular-weight polymers improve moisture retention; medium-molecular-weight polymers promote the regeneration of fibroblasts and keratinocytes; and low-molecular-weight polymers support penetration into surrounding tissues and provide a moisturizing sensation after treatment.
What is the difference between Hydro and Profilo?
Hydro and Profilo differ in the types of hyaluronic acid they contain and the characteristics of the procedures.
Hydro is a treatment that combines three types of non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid to improve skin hydration, firmness, and the appearance of wrinkles. Since the most suitable formulation varies depending on your skin condition and concerns, YAYOI CLINIC will determine your eligibility following a consultation.
What is the difference between Hydro and SkinVibe (formerly Volite XC)?
Hydro and SkinVibe (formerly Volite XC) differ in terms of the hyaluronic acid formulations used, the treatment methods, and the duration of the effects.
While Hydro uses three types of non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid, SkinVibe is a hyaluronic acid formulation designed to improve the skin’s moisture-retaining ability and reduce fine lines. At YAYOI CLINIC, we determine the most appropriate treatment based on your skin condition and concerns.
