FAQ
Hydro Boost Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of treatment is Hydro Boost?
Hydro Boost is a skin-nourishing injection that combines "Hydro"—which contains three types of non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid—with botulinum toxin, stem cell culture supernatant, and tranexamic acid.
What skin concerns is Hydro Boost designed to address?
HydroBoost is an option for those concerned about fine lines around the eyes and mouth, wrinkles on the neck, dryness, loss of firmness and elasticity, and enlarged pores. After assessing your skin condition and desired results, a doctor will recommend the most appropriate treatment plan.
What ingredients are in Hydro Boost?
Hydro Boost contains hydro, botulinum toxin, stem cell culture supernatant, and tranexamic acid. At YAYOI CLINIC, we use it as a formulation that combines the unique properties of each of these ingredients.
Is Hydro Boost the same procedure as hyaluronic acid injections?
Unlike typical hyaluronic acid injections used for facial contouring, Hydro Boost is a skin-nourishing injection designed to improve skin texture. It combines multiple ingredients with Hydro—which contains non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid—to promote hydrated, firm skin.
Where is HydroBoost injected?
At YAYOI CLINIC, HydroBoost is manually injected by a doctor into the entire face and neck. We tailor the treatment to your skin’s condition, even in areas that are difficult to treat with precision using a machine—such as the inner corners of the eyes, the area above the eyes, and the neck.
Does hydroboost hurt?
YAYOI CLINIC explains that Hydroboost uses an ultra-fine 2mm needle to inject the solution into the skin’s superficial layers, so patients rarely experience significant pain. In addition to anesthesia, the clinic employs various pain-management measures, such as cooling and a vibrating pen.
When will the swelling that occurs after a Hydroboost treatment go away?
The slight swelling that may occur immediately after a Hydro Boost treatment usually subsides within about 3 to 4 hours on the face and within about 3 days starting the next day on the neck. However, the recovery process may vary from person to person depending on skin condition.
After receiving the Hydro Boost treatment, when can I start wearing makeup or taking a bath?
With Hydro Boost, you can apply makeup starting the day after your treatment. On the day of the treatment, you may only take a shower; bathing is permitted starting the next day. It is important to be careful not to rub or irritate the injection sites.
Can I get a Hydro Boost treatment even just once?
Yes. While you can receive a single Hydro Boost treatment, at YAYOI CLINIC we recommend a course of approximately four treatments, once every three months. After completing the course, we suggest maintenance treatments about once every six months to a year, depending on your skin condition.
How long does it take to notice a difference in my skin after using Hydro Boost?
The way the skin responds to Hydro Boost varies from person to person. While you may notice changes, such as increased hydration, immediately after the treatment, it is important to continue receiving treatments while monitoring changes in your skin’s condition.
