FAQ
Hyfu Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of treatment is Hyfu?
HIFU is a treatment for sagging skin that uses high-intensity focused ultrasound to deliver thermal energy deep into the skin. At YAYOI CLINIC, we recommend this treatment as a way to firm the skin from the foundation up.
What types of sagging skin is Hyfu suitable for?
Hyufu is ideal for those concerned about facial sagging or a loss of definition along the jawline. It is also sometimes used to address skin concerns such as enlarged pores.
Does a hyph hurt?
You may experience pain or a sensation of heat during the treatment. Since the perception of pain varies from person to person, at YAYOI CLINIC, we perform the treatment with your comfort in mind, adjusting the intensity based on your skin condition and the treatment area.
Can I get the Hyfu treatment in just one session?
Yes. You can undergo a Hyfu treatment starting with just one session. The number of sessions required varies depending on the degree of sagging and the treatment area, so please consult with your doctor during your consultation.
How often do you get a hyfu treatment?
You can undergo a follow-up Hyfu treatment at least 6 months after your initial procedure. Since the recommended interval between treatments varies depending on your skin condition and the specific treatment performed, your doctor will determine the appropriate interval.
What is the difference between a hyphen and an en space?
HIFU primarily targets the subcutaneous tissue and the SMAS layer, while Volnuma targets the dermis and the entire subcutaneous tissue. Since HIFU uses high-intensity focused ultrasound and Volnuma uses radiofrequency (RF), they differ in the layers they target and the type of energy they employ.
Can I combine HIFU with other skin tightening treatments at YAYOI CLINIC?
Yes. At YAYOI CLINIC, we also offer treatments that combine Volnuma and HIFU. We assess the degree of sagging and your desired results to determine whether to use a combination of devices.
Can I wear makeup after a Hyfu treatment?
With Hyfu, you can apply makeup on the same day as your treatment, provided there are no issues with your skin's condition afterward.
What kinds of symptoms occur during the recovery period after Hyfu treatment?
With Hyfu, you may experience pain, burns, swelling, edema, dull pain, or numbness. Since symptoms vary from person to person, please consult your doctor if you have any concerns.
